Scott,
	I'm glad to hear gfortran is now up to the job. Now all I need is
for Apple to upgrade their version of gcc

OSX 10.4.11
gcc -v

Using built-in specs.
Target: powerpc-apple-darwin8
Configured with: /var/tmp/gcc/gcc-5370~2/src/configure --disable-
checking -enable-werror --prefix=/usr --mandir=/share/man --enable-
languages=c,objc,c++,obj-c++ --program-transform-name=/^[cg][^.-]*$/s/
$/-4.0/ --with-gxx-include-dir=/include/c++/4.0.0 --with-slibdir=/usr/
lib --build=powerpc-apple-darwin8 --host=powerpc-apple-darwin8 --
target=powerpc-apple-darwin8
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5370)

Note: we're still using the 4.0.1 compiler.
I'm learning how to install a custom setup compiler, but I'm having
problems with shared libraries. But this gives me hope that if I get
gcc 4.1+ working correctly, I won't have to get it working with g77.

Cheers,
--Jim
